The wine shows clear clarity with deep intensity in appearance and a purple core to ruby rim in color. The developing nose is clean and shows medium plus intensity. Aromas and flavors of raspberry jam, black cherry cider and cola are intertwined with notes of white pepper, cinnamon, clove, cocoa powder and bacon fat! The palate shows medium acidity, tannin and length with medium plus body and flavor intensity. The tannins are ripe, fine-grained, and well-integrated with a supple texture. The acidity is lively and refreshing and the wine finishes expressive and fresh. Serve with a wintery braised dish or some grilled lamb.
